A Permeant Promise

So this one time in Kenya I got a tattoo.

I’ve been thinking about getting one for a while and had zero plans to actually going through with it. But when you combine three impulsive people and a tattoo shop sighting it only makes sense that we would decide to get one.

So the night before we spent about an hour perusing pinterest for ideas. My criteria: something small, something that I could easily hide, something with meaning, and if it was whimsical, well that would just be a bonus. And this is what happened...

The meaning? Well that's my favorite part. My tattoo is a constant reminder of all that God has promised.

He has promised to supply every need we have. Phillipians 4:19

He has promised that His grace is sufficient for us. 2 Corinthians 12:9

He has promised us victory over death. 1 Corinthians 15:57

He has promised that all things work together for the good of those who love and serve Him faithfully. Romans 8:28

He has promised that His children will not be overtaken with temptation. Daniel 6:16

He has promised peace to His people. Psalm 85:8

He has promised that those who believe in Jesus and are baptized for the forgiveness of sins will be saved. Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38

He has promised His people eternal life. John 10:27, 28

"His promises in and through Christ have, are, and will be fulfilled. There is a beautiful past, present, and future element to God's promises, as seen in these passages of Scripture. What's particularly interesting, however, is that several of these Bible verses about God's promises remind believers of their role in the process. In response to what God has done, is doing, and will do, we are called to live in faithfulness and love."

My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life. Psalm 119:150

Kenya Take 2

Instead of babbling on about Kenya I figured I would let the pictures do the talking...

And there's one more picture from Kenya to come...
