Rwanda/Ethiopia Missions Trip Support

Dear Family and Friends,
Greetings! I pray that this letter finds you and your family well. I am now in my third year of college studying criminal justice and psychology. I have transferred three times but am now happily at home taking classes through Liberty University Online while working full time as a nanny.
I am still in process of deciding what I am going to do once I graduate but I know when the time comes God will lead me where He wants me. As I continue my studies and working, God has given me to the opportunity to go to Rwanda and Ethiopia and serve Him and His children.
On December 27th, I will be departing on a mission trip for 14 days where I will work with several orphanages with an organization called Visiting Orphans. Visiting Orphans is a registered non-profit organization.  Established in 2005 by America World Adoption Association as a way to further help the orphans of the world. Visiting Orphans works to fulfill the biblical mandate given in James 1:27 of "visiting orphans" in their distress. Visiting Orphans conducts many missions trips for churches, schools, and individuals from around the United States to orphanages all around the world including China, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Ecuador, Ukraine, Haiti, El Salvador, Honduras, India and Costa Rica. I have been fortunate enough to be accepted to go on a mission’s trip with this wonderful organization to Africa.
I believe that God has given me a heart and a gift for serving children.  During an outreach my church participated in, this became evident. Some people from my church and I traveled down to Washington D.C. in order to assist another church reach out to the community. The church was located in a run down neighborhood that needed to be shown God’s love. We went door-to-door delivering flowers and inviting people to the local church. While doing this, I noticed a little boy alone on the sidewalk.  I felt God tugging at my heart and started playing and talking with him. Soon, two mentally challenged children joined us.  Because of God’s love being shown to these children, I was able to talk to their mother about Jesus.
I am currently so blessed to be able to work with kids on a daily basis. There have been so many times when I am with these kids that I just get an overwhelming feeling that this is exactly why I was created. To love, cherish and nurture God’s beautiful children. . I truly believe God placed a desire in my heart a long time ago for His children and to serve them.
I am so excited about the opportunity to serve and to minister and I ask you to join me in ministry. I am seeking your support and prayers for this mission trip. If you are able to assist with this trip, I would ask that you go to https://www.visitingorphans.org/ and in the right hand corner is a tab called “Donate”. After clicking on the tab you will be able to designate your donation to me for the December 27-January 7 Ethiopia/Rwanda trip. If you are unable to support me financially during this time I completely understand but I will still ask for you prayers. Matthew 7:7-8  “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”
I thank you in advance for your prayers and your financial support. May God bless you richly!
     His therefore Yours,
Elise Cooper
